- Joe Stevenson -
Joe was raised on a strawberry farm in Wayne. His interest in the natural world stems from an early age, exploring the woods and streams around the farm. This lead him to pursue a degree in Forestry from the University of Maine. His college summers were spent fighting forest fires on a hotshot crew in the western United States, where he was able to gain experience working with diverse teams in high-intensity environments. These experiences lead him into a position as a Maine Forest Ranger based out of Rangeley for several years.
After starting his family with his wife, Alanna, he worked as a Procurement forester for a large paper company managing small woodlots and administering public land timber harvests and road construction. With the expansion of his family to three daughters, and desire to expand his breadth of experience, he joined a small land development firm building and leading their environmental sciences department. Following his interest back to the woods, he pushed King’s Arrow Company to the forefront and leapt into entrepreneurship full time. Joe is excited to see what the future brings and what positive affect he can have on the people and natural resources of Maine.
